Q. What data of mine does Gliptone Leathercare store.

Our E-Commerce system provided by Visualsoft Ltd which holds your full order details and we transfer your name and address to our internal system to process your order.  As little information as possible is duplicated across the systems to limit the area of an attack.  Your credit card details can be saved for use with our site, but Gliptone Leathercare or Visualsoft do not store these details itself we use a payment service provider instead.

Q. What does Gliptone Leathercare do with my data.

Gliptone Leathercare only use your name and address to deliver your order to your business or home via our couriers currently APC, TNT, Royal Mail and InXpress.  We may pass over your contact details to our couriers, if they have an issue delivering your order.  We are then required by UK financial law to keep these records for a period of six years and then Gliptone Leathercare will archive and then delete the information.

Q. How does Gliptone Leathercare store my payment details.

Gliptone Leathercare doesn't hold any of our customers payment data directly.  We use payment services providers Paypal, Worldpay & Sagepay to process our customers payment details and transfer the funds between accounts.

Q. What data does Gliptone Leathercare share.

Gliptone Leathercare shares information with Google Analytics, this means that a cookie will be dropped onto your computer to track your movements around our site.  This is used to allow our Marketing department to make various decisions around structure, promotions, referrals and vistor numbers to our website.  If you want any more information reguarding Google's privacy policy, you can find it at http://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

Q. How do I request what information Gliptone Leathercare currently has of mine.

A formal request must be sent via email to our customer services department, the details can be found on our Contact Us webpage.  That senders email address must match the email address used when originally placing your orders with Gliptone Leathercare.  Any request will only be sent back to the email address that our matches the order/orders in our E-Commerce system, within a 30 day period.

Q. How do I unsubscribe from Gliptone Leathercare newsletters.

You have a couple different options to unsubscribe from the Star Brands Direct newsletters:-

1.  At the bottom of the email you will see an unsubscribe link.
2.  Login to your Star Brands account, and you can choose to remove the newsletter in your account preferences.
