Gliptone have in stock 1,000’s of colour matched leather repair dyes which we supply to furniture manufacturers, repairers and retailers, these are available mail order to ANYONE, they will enable you to colour in scratches, scuffs, creases and cracks and wear.

Listed below is our stock colours, to order you need to know the following information which should be available from your original invoice or supplying retailer:

1. The leather swatch name and manufacturer [not suite model/design name]

2. Official colour name and/or colour code.

 

If it’s not on our list we cannot supply it from stock, you will need to post a sample from under a settee or chair and we will mix it specially, the bigger the sample, the better the match. Telephoning us or simply ordering “a cream” will not get a colour that matches your suite, as you’ll see from our listings we have many “creams” and they vary a lot, spending a little time sending us a good sized sample will result in an excellent repair to be proud of which should be invisible.   If it is impossible to find a sample we can supply the “Repair Kit” at £29.95 which contains 7 x 15ml dyes in your chosen colour range described to us by telephone, these can only be ordered by telephone. 01706 819365.

 

Our lists are under the headings of the manufacturer or retailer, in the case of large national retailers they often market suites under there own brand/style names and colour names but the manufacturer’s colour code will remain the same as a suite supplied by a smaller independent retailer, so the colour code number [if any] is important. For example HTL BV 3550, DFS call it Magnolia, other stores will call it Light Beige but it has the same colour code; BV3550.

 

Many of the colours are marked as [2 colour] this is because the final visual colour finish is made up by applying a top coat over a base coat or it’s a mottled finish, in the case of a small Scuffmaster colour touch up kit we will supply 15ml of the base coat and 65ml of the top coat, for larger quantities we will supply equal quantities of each.

 

Please note.

All our colours are mixed from the manufacturers sales swatches [the dates listed are from when we received the swatches, the colours could have been introduced much earlier], these can vary slightly from the manufactured suite, also your suite may have faded, the Scuffmaster kit we send you will have 2 x 5ml colour toners in it to allow for fading. For repair trade orders we advise that they buy our 17 colour pigment Starter Kit at £45.00, this allows a repair engineer the scope to adjust any colour on site for a perfect match. We hope to dispatch internet orders within 48 hours of receipt and most of the colours listed are made up and in stock however we can run out and a new batch will need mixing, this can cause a delay of a couple of days, every correctly supplied order will be dispatched by Royal Mail within 7 days

 

A Scuffmaster touch up  kit consists of 65ml concentrated colour matched dye, 2 x 5ml toners to adjust it to allow for fading, 5ml gloss enhancer to increase the shine which occurs on used leather, 2 foam applicators and instructions. Larger quantities are just bottles of the dye in your specified colour. We advise all customers to buy a bottle of GT15 cleaner [600ml] and a bottle of conditioner GT11 [250ml] as well to prepare the leather before colouring.

 

At the end of the listings is the COLOURBANK order form, order on line.  If you are posting a sample to us, fill in this form, print it off and post it to us with your sample attached, we only accept credit/debit card payments and postal orders, NO CHEQUES.  If you are posting a cushion send it by recorded post with all the foam removed, we shall return it by recorded post or carrier.
