Constantly polishing metal objects is not a job people like, you polish it, it gets damp and it tarnishes, if it’s engraved or stamped, the more you polish it, the more letters and numbers disappear, in the case of plated objects like gold, silver plated fittings and trophies plus chrome radiators and bumpers on classic cars, the plating is slowly worn off.
The problem with most polishes is that THEY ARE ALL ABRASIVE AND OFFER NO LONG TERM PROTECTION, these two products do.
Alu and Chrome Magic are very efficient polishes plus they leave an invisible wax protective coating on the metal, this will last on average 6 months outside during the summer months, 6 weeks in the winter, if stored inside in dry conditions, the protection lasts for over 12 months.
Many magazines aimed at classic bike and car owners have tested both these products, Alu Magic has always been voted either the best or second best, the second best position was awarded because the magazine obtained the product from a supplier who charged a lot for delivery, it came second because of cost.
Chrome Magic has won every comparison test, the last was by Classic and Sports Car who awarded it 5 stars.
Alu Magic is an abrasive polish and suitable for aluminium, brass, copper, nickel and stainless steel. Unlike some other polishes, it stays soluble and doesn’t go solid in the bottom of the bottle and the cap doesn’t “bind” to the bottle.
Chrome Magic is non abrasive and for use on any plated metal and you can use it after the initial Alu Magic treatment for maintaining the shine and protection.
Use both on brass hand rails, name plates, pub fittings, brass engine fittings on display [when very hot, the wax protection will disappear] finger prints and water marks will just wipe away, saving you time and polish!
