Fashionable leathers.
Manufactuers will introduce new types of leathers to attract a new market, Suede and Nubuck are similar leathers, soft and warm to touch, but not a practical choice, Pure Aniline is another, all these leathers have the same problem, they act like blotting paper, absorbing dirt, stains and grease marks, our advice is to cover areas that are used on a regular basis with a cloth, especially areas that come into contact with your hair and skin, if new leather, you can spray them with a "Scotchgard" type material, we have GT16 Aniline Protector, this gives an invisible shield, giving you time to clean up the accident.
Alcantara is a fabric that looks and feels like suede, it is often used with leather in car seats, GT15 trigger spray cleaner will clean both Alcantara and leather without the fear of overspray doing any damage, GT15 will also clean all fabrics.
There are two "Anilines" that can be treated and protected, these are Semi Aniline and Waxed Pull-up.
Semi Aniline has a thin protective sealant applied to help protect it and it still remains warm to touch, however if neglected, this sealant soon fails and the leather fades and stains, GT13.5 Protection Cream will keep this valuable sealant intact and it adds water and stain resistance.
Waxed Pull-up leather is Aniline leather with a waxy/oily finish added onto the surface, the wax gives some protection against spillages but body heat and cental heating soon dries these leathers out and they fade, Wax Pull-up Reviver, cleans, rewaxes these suites, blends in light scratches and revives colour, retreat as soon as the suite starts to fade again.
